Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how UrMove may collect, use, and process information when you use the UrMove iOS app and related services.
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Introduction
UrMove is a productivity tool designed to help users generate and refine communication drafts. We aim to use plain, transparent language about our privacy practices.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly and information generated through app use, such as:
- Text, notes, transcripts, instructions, and other context you choose to provide
- Imported audio files, voice memos, voicemails, and recordings you choose to provide
- Optional in-app voice recordings for instructions or refinements
- Generated drafts, refinements, and related session content
- Session and operational metadata, such as request status, timestamps, error information, app version, and usage-limit information
- An app-generated identifier associated with your installation or device
- Usage-limit, entitlement, and limited purchase or subscription information
User-Provided Text and Context
When you provide notes, transcripts, conversation context, or draft text, we may process this information as needed to generate and refine drafts.
App-Generated Device Identifier
UrMove does not currently require you to create an account. To operate the accountless service, the app creates or uses an app-generated identifier associated with your installation or device.
We use this identifier to associate sessions with your installation, manage free-generation limits and subscription access, and help protect the service from unauthorized use. It may be stored on your device and in our backend systems, and it may be associated with sessions, usage limits, and subscription status. The identifier is not designed to directly contain information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
User Content and Backend Session Storage
To provide the session workflow, UrMove may store text you provide, transcripts, voice-instruction or reflection transcripts, instructions, generated or refined drafts, session status, references to uploaded files, and related operational metadata in its backend database.
This allows the service to complete generation and refinement requests, maintain session integrity, enforce usage limits, verify access to paid features, protect sessions from unauthorized access, and troubleshoot service problems. UrMove does not currently provide a user-facing account or permanent cloud-history feature, even though limited session records may remain in our backend systems.
Audio, Voice Memo, and Reflection Data
UrMove may request microphone access so you can optionally record voice instructions, context, or refinements inside the app. In-app recording is user-initiated and only occurs when you tap the record button. You can use text input instead of voice input.
UrMove does not record phone calls automatically, monitor conversations, or listen in the background.
UrMove may process imported audio files, existing voice memos, voicemails, recordings you choose to upload or import, in-app voice recordings, transcripts, and other content you intentionally provide to support transcription, draft generation, and refinement. You are responsible for having the legal right and any required consent to provide recordings or conversation content.
Audio Uploads and Cloud Storage
Audio files that you choose to provide are uploaded to cloud storage so UrMove can process them. Uploaded audio is subject to an automated cloud-storage lifecycle that removes it after the configured retention period.
Related transcripts, generated drafts, session metadata, or database references may be stored separately and may not be deleted at the same time as the source audio.
Accounts and User Control
No account is required to use UrMove. You choose the content you provide, and UrMove does not automatically send messages or other generated output. You should review all generated drafts before using or sending them.
Operational and Diagnostic Information
We may process limited technical and operational information needed to run, protect, and troubleshoot the service, such as request status, timestamps, error information, app version, and usage-limit information.
Payment and Subscription Information
UrMove includes a limited number of free generations before subscription access is required for expanded usage. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. UrMove does not directly receive your full payment-card details.
We may receive and process information needed to verify purchases and subscription access, such as transaction and entitlement information. Purchase-related information may be associated with an app-generated device identifier or Apple transaction information.
How We Use Information
We may use information for purposes such as:
- Providing transcription, draft generation, and refinement features
- Maintaining sessions and returning generated results
- Enforcing free-generation limits and verifying subscriptions or entitlements
- Protecting sessions from unauthorized access and preventing abuse
- Troubleshooting errors and maintaining service reliability
- Responding to support, privacy, and deletion requests
- Complying with legal obligations and enforcing applicable terms
UrMove does not sell user-provided content.
AI Processing
UrMove uses OpenAI's API to provide AI-powered transcription, draft generation, and refinement. Depending on the feature you use, relevant audio, text, transcripts, instructions, existing drafts, and other context may be sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI processes this information under its applicable API and business data terms.
AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. Users are responsible for reviewing AI-generated drafts before relying on, copying, or sending them.
Third-Party Service Providers
We may share information with service providers that process it on our behalf and receive information only as needed to provide their respective services, including:
- Hosting and database infrastructure providers for backend and database operations
- Amazon Web Services / Amazon S3 for uploaded-audio storage
- OpenAI for transcription, draft generation, and refinement
- Apple for App Store purchases, subscriptions, and platform services
- Basic operational or security service providers that help run and protect the service
Data Storage and Security
We may store and process data using service providers and systems selected to support app functionality. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through UrMove. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain different types of information for different periods depending on why the information is needed and how the service is configured. Uploaded audio is subject to the cloud-storage lifecycle described above.
Session records, including transcripts, instructions, generated drafts, file references, and related metadata, may be retained separately in our backend database for service operation, security, troubleshooting, and legal purposes. Purchase and entitlement information may be retained as needed to verify subscriptions and maintain transaction records. Support communications may be retained as needed to respond to requests and maintain business records. Service providers may retain information under their own applicable terms and retention practices.
User Choices and Deletion Requests
You may contact us at support@urmove.ai to request deletion of information associated with your use of UrMove. Because UrMove does not require an account, we may need information from you that reasonably allows us to locate and verify the relevant records.
We will review requests and respond as required by applicable law. We may retain limited information when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction-record, or operational purposes.
Children's Privacy
UrMove is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, additional notice.
